Find Peace & Serenity By Healing Your Crown Chakra

When everybody is talking about detoxing the body after the holidays, we would like to give the most focus and importance to detoxing the energy, and the chakras.

If you have been reading our blog, then you might have read our first 2 articles, a healing guide to open your root chakra and a yoga routine to open your heart chakra. If not, then feel free to start with the one that resonates better with you and that you feel you need the most today!

The root chakra, is the first of the seven chakras and is located at the base of your spine. This chakra, similarly to the foundation of a building, is the basis of the rest of the chakras and the anchor of the human body.

The crown chakra, or Sahasrara, is the seventh chakra and it is the last one at the highest point in your body. The first chakra grounds us on the Earth and progresses upward to the Sahasrara, which connects us with the universe and the Divine source of creation.

Because of its location, the crown chakra is associated generally with the brain and the whole nervous system and more specifically to the pituitary gland and to the pineal and the hypothalamus.

What the crown chakra gives us is the feeling that everything is connected at a fundamental level, that there is a deeper meaning of life and that there is something that underlies all of existence. This chakra helps us transcend our individuality, our limits and our ego. Once we realize and accept this, we start to feel peace, faith, serenity and gratitude.

The challenge between the root and the crown chakra is to be able to find that balance between connecting to the divine while at the same time staying firmly rooted in the ground.

If you have an overactive crown chakra, these are some symptoms to look out for: Cynicism, apathy, disconnection from spirituality and self-destructive tendencies.

If you have an underactive crown chakra, these are the symptoms to look out for: Confusion about what you want to do, and a lack of inspiration.

How Can You Balance Your Crown Chakra?

1- Check Your Ego

Your ego might be blocking your crown chakra because it focuses on your individuality, disconnects you from the Divine and the belief that everything is connected. The ego is usually a face front for insecurity and lack of self-confidence. It serves you on any level to just let it go.

2- Practice Meditation

Your crown chakra will highly benefit from meditation since it is your connection to your higher self and to the Divine. Listen to these tunes, while you go deeper into your crown balancing meditation.

3- Practice Affirmations

“I trust my inner self to guide me through life and all people in my life are here to teach me something about myself so that I can grow.”

“I am balanced between Heaven and Earth and all areas of my life are in balance too.”

“I trust that everything happens for a reason and what I do makes a difference.”

4- Eat Pure Food

We usually always recommend this but in this case it is really important because pure food have been grown in nature and have absorbed sunlight. An example would be dates that have been dried by the sun. It is important that you drink plenty of water and avoid anything not organic, and processed food for a couple of days, while you cleanse your chakra.

If this feels like too much information and you don’t know where to start, leave us a comment and we would guide you along the way!
